The Brighton Youth Commission works out of the Office of Youth Services at The City of Brighton. It is funded by the city, sponsorships from local businesses, and grant writing. Commissioners work with city staff in order to create programming and improve the services offered for youth , family, and children in our community. 300 seat state wide youth conference held at The Armory and Performing Arts Center in Brighton, CO. This two day conference was created to give young people a voice in policy government by offering them a platform and encouraging them to make changes and drive to impact their communities.

Growing Grads-College Readiness KickOff and FAFSA Nights

Growing Grads is a program that encourages all high school students to continue on to post secondary education. It shares resources, offers soft skills training, has hands on workshops, and introduces students to colleges and local scholarship opportunities.

Summer program for youth age 14-19 offered in multiple city departments. This program offers a six week soft skills training course that goes hand in hand with a 150 hour internship opportunity. Interns are given valuable work experience as well as professional skill set training and a great resume builder.
